History of Hello Kitty part 1

In 1974, Hello Kitty did not have a name. She was a kitty, sitting down, with a red bow on her left ear. Soon she became a much loved character in Japan, and Hello Kitty became a instant celebrity.



In 1975, kitty was given her name. She was introduced as Hello Kitty, and Hello Kitty's family was now introduced to the public. One of the first items was a small wallet with Hello Kitty embroided on the side.



In 1976, the company Sanrio became the main distributor and owner of Hello Kitty. They created a new pose of Hello Kitty standing.




In 1977, Sanrio designed a new pose for Hello Kitty, flying a plane. From small kids, to high school students, to adults, everyone loved the new design.





In 1978, Hello Kitty was designed riding a dolpin, aswell as driving a car, in different places, and a cute wardrobe!




In 1979, Hello Kitty's grandparents were introduced to the world ! ^_^






In 1980, Hello Kitty started playing sports!
Hello Kitty was designed holding a raquet and ball,and supporting a very cute t-shirt . Hello Kitty digital watches went on sale that year, and more than a million watches were sold !


In 1981, Hello Kitty items grew and expanded to cameras, telephones, and other electrical equipment, which increased year after year. The first Hello Kitty movie was made, called
" Hello Kitty and Mimi's new umbrella " ... KAWAII ! ^_^ <3



In 1982, Hello Kitty's outline dissapeared! Sanrio did this to make Hello Kitty more involved into the background picture. They also made a bit of an adjustment to Hello Kitty's eyes.




In 1983, cris crossed and lined backgrounds, looking more American, attracted more people from the US. The same year, Hello Kitty was named the child ambassador of UNICEF in the US aswell !



 1984 , Hello Kitty photo design. This was made to make Hello Kitty seem closer to us. In the end, this was a huge success! ^_^



In 1985, Tiny Cham introduced Hello Kitty baking a cake, this attracted alot of parents.
This passport shot of Hello Kitty's face, became the official logo for Hello Kitty for a while. The design was also seen on clothing, hankerchiefs,handbags, and lots more.
